The MUGENAN tour is a special tour that allows visitors to experience the cultural heart of Kanazawa: Noh, Tea ceremony, Food, and Kenrokuen Garden.
This tour begins at the main entrance of the Ishikawa Noh Theater. A Noh performer from the Noh Theatre will serve as your guide and give you a special tour of the Noh Theatre, which is normally inaccessible to visitors. Participants will experience a demonstration on the Noh stage wearing white tabi (split-toed socks) and will be able to experience performing Noh on the Noh stage themselves.
After the Noh experience, a Kenrokuen guide who knows Kenrokuen very well will give you a detailed explanation of Kenrokuen. You will enjoy a special tour of Kenrokuen Garden, created especially for this tour.
Kanazawa’s Charm at Kenrokutei.
The tour will conclude with a special dinner at Kenroku-tei in front of the fountain in Kenrokuen. Kenrokutei is a restaurant representing the historic and elegant Kenrokuen Garden, located in front of the oldest fountain in Japan. The restaurant offers a relaxing dinner with fresh local vegetables and seafood, and the rich natural background of Kenrokuen Garden.
The dinner will begin with a tea ceremony, followed by a presentation of Ishikawa Prefecture’s foodstuffs, with video clips and stories from the producers. The dinner will be a special dinner to get to know Ishikawa Prefecture.
This tour is a representative tour of Kanazawa, allowing visitors to experience all the components of Kanazawa’s culture: Noh, tea ceremony, food, and Kenrokuen Garden.
The meeting place of the tour is “Ishikawa Noh Theater Main Entrance”. The tour will end at “Kenrokutei” in Kenrokuen Garden. An interpreter/guide will accompany the tour. English is the only language available. Other languages are also available. Please inquire for details. In the tour, you will be required to take off your shoes and change into tabi (split-toed socks).

MUGENAN (KENROKU Garden Night fantasy)
This is a special tour that offers an in-depth experience of Kanazawa’s representative cultures: Noh, tea, food, and Kenrokuen Garden. Beginning at the Ishikawa Prefectural Noh Theater, a professional Noh performer will serve as a special guide. Participants will have the opportunity to experience a special guided tour of a closed area, a Noh demonstration, and even have the opportunity to perform Noh themselves. A tour of Kenrokuen Garden with detailed explanations is also available. The tour will conclude with a special dinner at Kenroku-tei in front of the Kenrokuen Fountain. The dinner will be a great opportunity to experience the culture of Kanazawa through a tea ceremony with local ingredients.
